New Student Information Night- Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 6 PM

Houston High will host an information night for parents and rising freshmen/ new students on Tuesday,  February 5 , 2012 at 6 PM beginning in the HHS auditorium. This open house is a wonderful opportunity for  students and their parents to learn more about Houston High School. The event will ‘put a face’ on Houston High; the program will convey an overall image of excellence, stability and diversity, highlight the strengths of Houston as an academic and social community, share information about athletic, arts,  and enrichment opportunities, and personalize the Houston High experience through presentations made by faculty and administrators.

Houston students honors Sarah Carmichael’s memory with blood drive

Houston High School recently held a blood drive with Lifeblood in memory of 17-year-old student Sarah Carmichael, who was killed in a car accident in Germantown on Oct. 6.

More than 100 volunteer donors participated in the blood drive as a tribute to Sarah, a member of the school’s Health Occupations Students of America organization who donated blood for the first time just a week before she died.
