Houston Show Choir on WKNO
WKNO is proud to premiere Choirs of Christmas, highlighting holiday music from Mid-South high school choirs and a special reading from Memphis Mayor A C Wharton.
The episode of WKNO’s “Choirs of Christmas” featuring Houston High School will air Tuesday, December 20 at 7pm. This is the half-hour show which will exclusively featuring Houston.
The show will then culminate in a two-hour compilation, premiering Saturday, December 24 at 4:00 and 10:00 p.m. on WKNO/Channel 10 (and 9:00 p.m. on WKNO2).
Choirs of Christmas will feature choirs from Houston and Ridgeway High Schools, St. Mary’s, Hutchison, and Faith Heritage Christian Academy performing some of the most beloved pieces from their Christmas repertoire in the WKNO studios. These songs range from secular music to religious texts, including the traditional Christmas carols.
